Once again we say goodbye to some legends of the world of music. ElTele is bored by the first Avatar film, and the Captain finds Andrew Marr’s History of Modern Britain in the charity shop.

But the main theme for the end of year episode is: we list our best film, TV series, documentary, book, theatre production, gig, album and podcast of the year (spoiler: we don’t choose our own and we do review a recent film).
